Working closely with the EPC contractor, Scopus’ approach to Modular Build can significantly decrease cost and project length whilst improving safety.

Modular Build allows for individual modules to be fabricated at a remote location and can be applied to any environment, onshore and offshore. The project can range from a single module to several hundred, with all of the modules arriving on site fully fitted out.

Specialised in delivering modular build hook-ups worldwide, Scopus have developed the “Single Weld Hook-up Philosophy” which significantly reduces the project schedule and associated costs. Implementation of this philosophy into the build and installation removes the requirement for infill/hook-up spools between individual modules, the bulk of the construction work can be undertaken offsite.

Through the use of our bespoke survey software and the application of state of the art techniques, operators and engineering companies could challenge outdated built strategies and develop a more modern approach in line with the Scopus’ “first time fit” guarantee.

Scopus have an extensive history of delivering this service to a range of clients worldwide across a variety of different industries.

The benefits of a Scopus supported Modular Build are:

  • No requirement for hook-up spools if Single Weld Philosophy is implemented
  • Allows for multiple build locations in parallel
  • Modules arrive on site fully fitted out
  • Minimises hook-up duration and cost
  • Minimises risk to construction schedule and budget
